Fermentaholics Airlock Fermentation Replacement Grommets are designed to securely hold standard fermentation airlocks in place on fermenter lids, creating a reliable seal during fermentation. Each grommet fits a 1/2 inch hole and is compatible with standard 3/8 inch airlocks, including 3-piece, Double Bubble, and S-style airlocks commonly used in homebrewing.
These fermentation grommets create an airtight compression seal between the airlock stem and fermenter lid, allowing CO₂ to escape during fermentation while minimizing oxygen exposure. Proper half-inch hole size is required for an effective seal. In addition to airlocks, the grommets can also be used to seal blow-off tubes, tubing, or straws when dimensions are compatible.
Suitable for use with plastic bucket fermenters, fermenter lids, and other drilled vessels, these grommets work for beer, wine, cider, mead, and other anaerobic fermentations. If you need a DIY fermentation lid, simply drill a 1/2 inch hole into a lid you already have on hand and press the grommet into place.
Installation is straightforward and tool-free after drilling. The grommet presses into the hole by hand, and the airlock stem inserts directly into the grommet for a secure fit. Made from a durable, flexible rubber material, these grommets maintain elasticity with repeated use and cleaning under normal fermentation conditions.
You can choose between single pack or 20-pack. These dark blue rubber grommets are ideal for setting up multiple fermenters, replacing worn grommets, or keeping spares on hand for future fermentation projects.
